About Us
Hi, I’m Anna!
Originally from Northern New Jersey, I grew up surrounded by pets of all kinds. I have known from an early age that I wanted to find a career working with animals, and I am so thrilled to have discovered my passion in dog training! After graduating from the University of Vermont where I majored in Environmental Studies and minored in Animal Science and Agroecology, I began my dog training career at an amazing training facility in Burlington, Vermont. It was during my time there that I also attended The Academy for Dog Trainers, a rigorous two-year certification program, led by renowned Jean Donaldson. I graduated from the Academy with honors, and now hold a Certification in Training and Counseling (CTC). I have experience teaching dogs and their humans in a variety of formats ranging from group classes to private sessions, and am excited to help find the best fit for you and your dog.
I am passionate about helping dogs and their guardians understand each other and build trusting relationships, and believe in the power of compassion for both ends of the leash. I will never use outdated or dangerous methods involving pain or fear, and it is my hope that both you and your dog can be happy participants throughout the training process!
I now reside in Golden, Colorado with my soul dog, Mako. She’s the perfect mix of sweet, adventurous, and sensitive, and she’s one of my greatest teachers. In my free time, I love hiking, spending time with friends, and exploring all that Colorado has to offer. I can’t wait to meet you!

We are passionate about using training methods that do not involve fear, pain, or coercion. Instead, we’ll set the stage for success and break new skills down into bite-sized pieces. When your dog gets things right, we’ll reward them with their favorite things in life (food, toys, play), and when they’re ready, we’ll increase the challenge until we’ve achieved your goals! If your dog makes a mistake, we will never scold, hurt, or scare them. We want your dogs to genuinely love training— not just to perform because they are afraid. Training this way will result in a stronger bond between you and your best friend.
